Certified Nurse-Midwife | Women’s and Reproductive Health Specialist

Madolyn Rubinich is a caring and skilled certified nurse-midwife who focuses on women’s and reproductive health. She believes in care that is evidence-based, inclusive, and centered on the patient. With more than seven years of experience in health care, she brings strong medical knowledge and compassion to her work at DAP Health.

Rubinich earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in midwifery from Seattle University, where she served as midwifery class representative and learned the value of teamwork and advocacy. She also holds a Master of International Public Health from the University of Sydney and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Washington. Her education gives her a broad view of how health care, policy, and fairness connect — something that shapes her commitment to accessible care for all.

Before joining DAP Health, Rubinich worked as a nurse-midwife at Planned Parenthood in Palm Desert, where she provided full reproductive health care, including annual exams, birth control counseling, menopause care, and early pregnancy support. She is skilled in first-trimester ultrasounds and minor procedures. Patients appreciate her ability to combine accuracy with kindness, making sure they feel informed and comfortable.

She also worked in Washington state as a full-scope midwife at MultiCare Health System, where she managed more than 30 vaginal births and assisted in 15 cesarean sections. She cared for patients before and after birth, handled complex lab results, and worked closely with doctors to ensure safe outcomes. Her earlier roles as a bedside nurse in labor and delivery taught her how to stay calm and focused in emergencies and support patients through difficult times.

Her skills include well woman care throughout the lifespan, providing prenatal and postpartum care, contraception counseling, inserting and removing IUDs and Nexplanon, and treating symptoms of menopause transition. She also cares for LGBTQ+ families and patients who face barriers to health care. Rubinich uses trauma-informed and culturally sensitive practices so every patient feels heard, seen, and affirmed.

Rubinich continues to learn and grow in her field. She is working toward certification as a menopause specialist and has completed advanced courses in obstetric life support, fetal monitoring, and childbirth education. She is a member of professional organizations that promote high standards in women’s health care.

At DAP Health, Rubinich lives out the mission of providing fair and affirming care. Her mix of clinical skill, advocacy, and global health experience makes her a trusted provider and a strong voice for women’s health at every stage of life.

“I chose to be a midwife because I wanted to serve women at all stages of life,” says Rubinich, who works out of DAP Health’s Centro Medico Oasis in Thermal, Desert Hot Springs Specialty Care Center, and Coachella Valley Community Health Center. “The origin of the word in Old English literally means ‘with woman,’ and that’s how I see my role as a provider. Moms work so hard, and so often they put the care of their families first. So, I feel very grateful to be there to support them each step of the way for their health care needs. I have a clinical interest in the menopause transition, and pregnancy, of course.”

As to why she chose DAP Health, it’s “because the mission most closely aligns with my core values and beliefs. Everyone deserves health care, and I love working for an organization that was founded by physicians to heal, rather than for profit.”
