wellness services

DAP Health’s Wellness services are rooted in a legacy of providing holistic support and a sense of community at a time when medical options were limited. Born during the height of the AIDS crisis, it all began as a vital lifeline for people living with HIV. Today, the same spirit of providing compassionate care, support and resilience continues.

Two smiling middle-aged men with gray hair stand close together indoors. One wears a plaid shirt over a white t-shirt, and the other wears a light gray sweater. Soft natural light and blurred green plants are visible in the background.

At DAP Health, wellness goes beyond medical care.

At DAP Health, wellness goes beyond medical care. Our Wellness Center offers various classes, programs, and activities (many of them virtual and accessible to all patients) to enhance physical, emotional, and mental well-being, and to foster creativity, connection, and recovery within a supportive community atmosphere. Whether you’re looking to reduce stress, build strength, practice mindfulness, or connect with others, our offerings provide opportunities to enhance your quality of life.

From yoga, meditation, and reiki to acupuncture, diabetes education, and smoking cessation programs, our services are designed to complement traditional health care. In some circles, it’s known as our unique model of wraparound services, which we’ve perfected since we were founded in 1984 as an organization devoted to supporting people with HIV/AIDS who had no medications to turn to in alleviating their condition.

We prioritize inclusivity, accessibility, and empowerment, ensuring every patient has the tools to nurture their well-being and take charge of their health. Whether in-person or virtual, these programs are open to all who seek a path to healing, self-care, and community connection.
