Frequently asked questions
Do you offer specialized services within mental health?
Yes, our mental health clinicians create personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs, ensuring care that is inclusive, affirming, and trauma-informed. Some areas of specialty include support for expectant mothers and new parents (including perinatal mood disorders, pregnancy-related mental health support, and postpartum care), the LGBTQ+ community, trauma survivors, people seeking safety and building new lives, and individuals with chronic health conditions. With a diverse team of providers, we can connect you with a provider who matches your specific needs and preferences. We also offer services in English, Spanish, and Farsi, and can utilize translation services for other languages, as needed.
What if I need medication for my behavioral or mental health condition?
Our psychiatry providers and behavioral health specialists assess your condition to determine if medication and other treatments would benefit your overall care. We provide medication management services to treat your mental health needs, monitor progress, and adjust prescriptions as needed to ensure the best results.
Do you offer telehealth or virtual therapy sessions?
Yes. We offer virtual video and telephone visits when they are appropriate for your needs. This allows patients flexibility to access therapy and psychiatric care from the comfort of their own home or our clinics. Virtual appointments are available for psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individual therapy. You can learn more about telehealth visits here.
How can I schedule to see a DAP mental health clinician?
Various health plans have different requirements (preauthorization, referrals) before a patient can see a behavioral health professional. Call us at 760.323.9255 to learn more about our different services and to discuss the best option for you. If you are a DAP Health patient, you can speak with your DAP Health provider for recommendations and a referral to mental health services, and a care team member will contact you.
What types of mental health conditions do you treat?
We provide care for a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma and PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorders, psychotic disorders, major life change adjustment disorders, and anger management.
