World AIDS Day at DAP Health – December 1, 2025

DAP Health will commemorate World AIDS Day with a community program and special displays honoring those impacted by HIV and AIDS. Highlights include:

  • AIDS Memorial Quilt Display: Four panels from the historic quilt will be exhibited at DAP Health Sunrise (1695 North Sunrise Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262) from December 1–5, daily from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m.
  • Palm Springs AIDS Memorial Sculpture Model: On view alongside the quilt panels will be a model of this forthcoming work by local artist Phillip K. Smith III.
  • Community Program & Candlelight Vigil: To be held on Monday, December 1, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM in the DHD Room at DAP Health Sunrise.
  • Reception at Blackbook (315 E. Arenas Road, Palm Springs) from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be provided; full bar and menu available for purchase.

And please also join us on Tuesday, December 2, at 4:00 p.m. as we partner with Philadelphia’s Mazzoni Center for a virtual WAD event via Zoom:

  •  HIV Care: Progress, Persistence, and the Path Forward: Hosted by former White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and featuring Dr. Anthony Fauci, with a special performance by Rufus Wainwright, this free program brings together leaders in public health, advocacy, and the arts to discuss advances in HIV care, activism, and ongoing challenges.
