Kevin Bass

Interim Board Chair

Kevin Bass moved to Palm Springs in 1992 and immediately began volunteering at Desert AIDS Project (as DAP Health was then known). As a result, Bass has seen many changes and enormous growth in services over the past many years. He is proud to have served as the co-chair of the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards for many years, and as the sole gala chair since 2024. He was honored with a Steve Chase Humanitarian Award in 2007. In addition to DAP Health, Bass has been involved with many nonprofits in the Coachella Valley. In 2000, he was elected president of board of Gay Associated Youth, a local LGBTQ+ youth drop-in center, where he served for six years. In 2008 he joined the national board of directors the Human Rights Campaign, where he served until 2012. Bass is passionate about his professional life as well. He is one of the top real estate agents in Palm Springs, and a member of the ASK Team with Compass Real Estate. In addition, he owns two home health care agencies — one in Palm Springs, the other in Newport Beach. Kevin also owns Coachella Valley Home Health Care (CVHC) CVHS is a long-time licensed provider to DAP Health.
