Dana Erwin

Chief Compliance Officer

Dana Erwin joined Borrego Health in November 2021 as interim chief compliance officer, and was officially appointed to the role in March 2022. As a member of Borrego Health’s executive leadership team, she has played a key role in building an approachable, trustworthy, and collaborative Quality and Compliance department. She works closely with departmental leaders to support, educate, and foster a culture of compliance and quality across the organization.

Dana brings a strong health care background to her role. She began her career as a lead neurosurgery nurse before transitioning to labor and delivery, where she worked for over a decade. Her clinical experience laid the foundation for a successful transition into quality, risk management, and compliance roles within hospitals, ambulatory care settings, and federally qualified health centers.

Dana holds a master’s degree in nursing leadership, and is certified in health care risk management.
