Comprehensive women’s health services (including OB-GYN) include:
- Prenatal care (routine checkups, ultrasounds, and lab testing to monitor your baby’s health).
- High-risk pregnancy care (gestational diabetes, preeclampsia).
- Perinatal education (health education sessions once per trimester with your perinatal educator).
- Postpartum support (follow-up care to support your recovery and your baby’s well-being).
- Nutrition counseling (guidance on healthy eating, and foods to avoid during pregnancy).
- Annual well-woman exams (preventive care, Pap smears, HPV screening and vaccination, pelvic exams, breast exams, onsite mammography).
- Birth control (pills, patch, vaginal ring, contraceptive injection, non-hormonal gel, male or female condoms, IUDs, and implants).
- Emergency contraception.
- STI/HIV testing and treatment.
- General gynecology (colposcopies, biopsies, and treatment for routine conditions).

What should I expect during my first pregnancy visit?
This visit typically includes a pregnancy test and ultrasound to confirm your due date. You will also be provided with a prescription for prenatal vitamins and plans for future laboratory testing and high-definition ultrasounds.
What prenatal care services does DAP Health provide?
Our comprehensive prenatal care includes routine checkups, ultrasounds, lab tests, nutritional counseling, and perinatal education. We monitor both you and your baby throughout your pregnancy to ensure a healthy delivery. We provide referrals to WIC, food banks, dental, shelters, and much more.
Do I need well-woman exam every year?
Yes. These visits typically include a pelvic exam, breast exam, and screenings for STIs and HIV to detect potential health concerns early. Cervical cancer screenings with Pap smears are provided according to recommended guidelines.
What should I expect during my first well-woman visit?
Your first well-woman visit will include a discussion about your medical history, lifestyle, and any concerns you have about your gynecological health.
Do you offer menopause management and hormonal therapy?
Yes. This includes hormonal therapy, lifestyle recommendations, and preventive care for osteoporosis and heart health. Our providers work with you to develop a care plan that supports your overall well-being.
