Health Services

There’s no cure for the virus itself, but its effects can be treated. Genital warts can be removed, and precancerous changes like anal dysplasia can be monitored or treated with topical therapies, laser procedures, or surgery if needed. The key is early detection, regular screening, and vaccination when eligible.

We provide HPV testing, anal Pap testing, HRA (if needed), vaccination for eligible patients, and follow-up care tailored to your needs. Our goal is to catch issues early and offer effective, respectful treatment in a judgment-free setting.

DAP Health was founded during the AIDS crisis to serve the LGBTQ+ community with dignity, respect, and compassion — values we still uphold every day. Our team members reflect the diversity of the people we serve, and our health care professionals are trained in culturally competent practices. From intake to follow-up, you are seen, your voice is heard, and your identity is respected and celebrated.

We offer comprehensive primary care, HIV specialty care, PrEP and PEP access, STI testing and treatment, mental health services, substance use support, and social services tailored to LGBTQ+ needs. Whether you’re seeking preventive care or planning for long-term wellness, we’re here to help.

No. DAP Health believes that health care is a human right. We offer a sliding scale for those without insurance, and we never turn anyone away for inability to pay. We can also help you enroll in coverage or connect with services that match your needs and budget.

At your first visit, you’ll meet with a provider who specializes in HIV. They will review your medical history, discuss your treatment goals, and create a personalized care plan. This may include lab tests, medication options, and referrals to support services like case management or mental health counseling. We strongly believe in a rapid start model of care that ensures you get access to lifesaving antiretroviral therapy (ART) immediately.

ART is an HIV treatment that helps lower the virus in your body to undetectable levels. It can be taken daily in pill form, or via a long-lasting injection given in a clinical setting, depending on a patient’s specific case. When taken consistently, ART allows you to stay healthy and thrive. It also prevents transmission to others (Undetectable = Untransmittable, or U=U).

While HIV is a lifelong condition, advances in medication have made it easy to manage with proper treatment.

Of course. If you experience side effects from your current medication, your provider can adjust your treatment. Our on-site pharmacy team works with you and your provider to find the best medication for your needs.

Yes. We provide free PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) and PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) consultations. PrEP is a daily pill (or long-lasting injection) that prevents HIV, while PEP is an emergency medication that can be taken within 72 hours of exposure. Our team will guide you through eligibility and access options. Learn more about our free PEP and PrEP services here.

If your test shows you have hepatitis C, we’ll walk you through every step. You’ll be connected with a provider who specializes in treatment, and we’ll create a personalized care plan that may include one of several daily oral medications that can cure the infection.
