Join us June 5 at the Cathedral City Senior Center for a community town hall—complete with a free lunch for attendees—where your voice and your questions take center stage.

This is an opportunity to engage directly with local healthcare leaders, learn about access to care in our region, and hear how policy decisions impact real lives here in the Coachella Valley.

The program features a dynamic panel of respected local leaders who are shaping healthcare and community wellbeing every day:

  • Brittany Cabanas, Executive Director of Stonewall Gardens and board member of Triangle Care Management, brings deep expertise in senior care and a lifelong commitment to serving families in the Coachella Valley.
  • Kevin Simsay, Senior Manager of Programs at The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert, leads impactful initiatives that foster connection, wellness, and support for LGBTQ+ residents.
  • Alejandro Espinoza, Chief of Community Engagement at the Desert Healthcare District, works at the forefront of advancing health equity and expanding access to critical services across the region.
  • Corina Velasquez, Chief Operating Officer of DAP Health, is a seasoned healthcare leader focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and strengthening community health systems.

Together, they will discuss local access points to care, share insights from their work on the ground, and answer questions from community members.

During the event, DAP Health will also release candidate healthcare scorecards, offering a clear, transparent look at where local and state candidates stand on the issues that matter most to patients and families.

To receive a complimentary lunch, please RSVP below.

Seven Days in June: Health is Primary is a decentralized, nonpartisan, grassroots-driven campaign designed to elevate health care as a defining issue in the 2026 election cycle.

“Health is not political, it’s personal, it’s local, and it impacts every single person in our community,” said David Brinkman, CEO of DAP Health. “DAP Health is proud to stand with organizations across the country to ensure that health care remains a top priority for those seeking to lead. Through this campaign, we will amplify the voices of our patients and communities and make clear what’s at stake.”
